ONLINE ASHTANGA YOGA ONE-TO-ONE LESSONS
‘Private Ashtanga Yoga Lessons via Zoom’

Zoom      Weekdays
Philippa Asher     philippa@ashtangaphilippa.com
One-to-One Online Ashtanga Yoga Lessons via video chat.  These are for Ashtanga yoga practitioners who would like support with their practice, without having to travel. During an ‘in person’ lesson, a teacher can observe from all angles, hear a practitioner’s breathing, see their drishti, correct alignment, technique, vinyasa, demonstrate alongside the practitioner and assist when necessary. With Online One-to-One lessons, you still have Philippa’s undivided attention, receive verbal help/tips, watch Philippa demonstrate on your screen, refine technique and alignment, review Sanskrit asana names and precise vinyasa counts, can ask questions about the practice, philosophy, pranayama and receive guidance with joy!  Email Philippa for availability and to book a lesson (cost is half ‘in person’ rate).

SRI LANKA

‘Ashtanga Yoga & Ayurveda Idyllic Jungle Village Retreat’

Ulpotha Ayurveda Village     18th January to 1st February 2026

www.ulpotha.com     philippa@ashtangaphilippa.com

I am beyond excited to be returning to Ulpotha, which is truly one of my most favourite places in the world! Because our retreat in 2024 sold out so quickly, priority will be given to those who have practised with Philippa before. We are limiting places for 2026, so spots will be given on a first come, first served basis. Ulpotha is an idyllic ayurveda village in the jungle heartland in Sri Lanka, that offers world class yoga, ayurvedic treatments and massages, natural swimming, stunning walks, trips to incredible sites, mouthwatering organic locally grown vegetarian and vegan cuisine, gorgeous rustic-style homely huts and acres of breathtaking views … in other words it is paradise! This is the perfect opportunity to connect to nature, recharge, rejuvenate and refresh. We’ll be having daily Ashtanga Guided Self-Practice; Sanskrit-Counted Primary Series classes; afternoon workshops on asana technique, concepts of the method, body opening, pranayama, meditation, yoga philosophy, Q&A etc. All levels of Ashtanga yoga practitioners (who have mastered at least the Standing Sequence and last three Finishing asanas) are welcome!
